SIR: In compliance with the resolution of Congress, passed on the 29th lay, 1830, I have the honor to state that, in relation to applications made uring the past year for the benefit of the navy pension and privateer penon funds, no case has occurred in which, when the evidence required by w has been produced to the department in support of a claim, that it has ot been allowed. The several acts of Congress in respect to navy pensions are believed to è sufficiently clear and explicit. I am, sir, very respectfully, Hon.
