By a resolution of the Council at its closing session, the following addresses and historical papers were placed in the hands of the Committee on the Endowment of the Theological Seminary of Virginia, for publication in book form. The spirit of love and cordial interest manifested by the members of the Council, and the large number of our Church-people from all parts of the Diocese who came to honor the occasion, should be grateful to lovers of the Episcopal Church everywhere. We regretted the absence of many of the alumni of our seminary whose career we follow with loving interest, and many of the Virginia Clergy in other Dioceses who we had hoped would share with us the joy of the centennial celebration. We hope that these pages will be read by them with some interest, and that the book will remind them to offer a prayer for God's blessing upon the old Diocese.
