The difference between the "Amount of stock subscribed," and the "Capital stock as by charter," except as to $42,900, still unsold and on hand for sale, is owing to the use of $621,400, of the stock for compromising a portion of the "Schuyler fraud," by the exchange of one good share for two spurious shares.

†The floating debt, consisting of coupons and pay-roll, payable October 1st, and of balances due other roads, is much more than covered by the amount of cash on hand, on September 30th, which was $395,661.79.
