The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon cach person, and the name of such person, as follows:

On the evening of September 23d, 1866, Joseph Schmidt was found on the track just east of Orangeburgh station, after the milk train had passed. He was injured either by

being run over or by attempting to get on the train while in motion. No person connected with the train saw him; he died soon after being found. He was a native of Austria.

On the evening of July 19th, 1866, the engineer of the milk train discovered, soon after leaving Cresskill station, a man walking on the track. Every effort was made to stop the train, but without doing it. He was struck by the locomo tive and caught by the fireman, who kept him from passing under the train. He died the next day from his injuries. By papers found on his person, his name was Anthony Kirkpatrick, from Canada West. No person connected with either train was to blame for the above accidents.
