SOUTH SIDE, OF LONG ISLAND.

The South Side Railroad Company, of Long Island, has been occupied during the past season in construction, the road now being in great part graded for about 33 miles east of Jamaica in Queens and Suffolk counties, with culverts and bridging.

It is proposed to commence speedy construction of the connecting line from Jamaica to the East river, at Brooklyn, Eastern District, and to open the road for travel in the spring of 1867.
