October 12. David Curran, aged 14 years, in jumping off a car after his hat, which had blown off, had his leg broken. John McQuig was accidentally pushed off a Flushing avenue car by a fellow passenger, and sustained a compound fracture of the left leg. 1866. July 16. James Anderson, aged 22 months, was run over by a Flushing avenue car and instantly killed. The coroner's jury found a verdict of "accidental death," and no blame attaches to the driver. Sept. 25. James Curran, while very drunk, was run over by a Greenpoint car, and had his leg fractured. He died of his injuries. No blame attached to the driver.
