There are three Class A directors in each of the twelve banks, and they are chosen by the stockholding banks of the reserve district. Class B directors to the number of three are chosen also by the member banks and are required to be persons actively engaged in commerce, agriculture or some other industrial pursuit. The Class C directors, whose terms expire on December 31, will be chosen by the Federal Reserve Board. There are three in each reserve district, and from their number the board designates one to act as chairman of the board of directors of the reserve district bank.
