Chap. 104. AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE DIVISION OF CERTAIN BALLOTS

INTO CONVENIENT PACKAGES.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

The fourth paragraph of section 66 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as appearing in chapter 147 of the acts of 1961, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: If it becomes impossible for voting to proceed because the ballot box is too full, the presiding officer, in the presence of a majority of the other election officers, shall open the ballot box, remove the ballots therefrom, without counting them, except that they may be divided into convenient packages, and shall place them in a container of fiber, wood, or metal. Approved April 3, 1967.

Chap. 105. AN ACT PROVIDING FOR THE FILING OF LISTS OF OFFICERS,

MEMBERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS OF WARD COMMITTEES
WITH THE CHAIRMAN OF THE CITY COMMITTEES OF THE
POLITICAL PARTY WHICH SAID WARD COMMITTEES REPRE-
SENT.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

Section 5 of chapter 52 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after the first sentence the following sentence:- In the case of a city, the secretary of each ward committee shall also file a copy of such list within such time with the chairman of the city committee of the political party which it represents. Approved April 3, 1967.

Chap. 106. AN ACT FURTHER REGULATING THE CASTING OF ABSENT

VOTING BALLOTS.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

The second paragraph of section 92 of chapter 54 of the General Laws, as appearing in section 3 of chapter 368 of the acts of 1966, is hereby amended by striking out the first sentence and inserting in place thereof the following sentence: A voter whose ballot is delivered to him in person shall not remove it from the office of the clerk, but shall mark said ballot as prescribed in the preceding paragraph in the presence of said clerk, his assistant authorized by law to administer oaths, or a notary public called to said office by said clerk for such purpose. Approved April 3, 1967.

Chap. 107. AN ACT MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR

ENDING JUNE THIRTIETH, NINETEEN HUNDRED AND SIXTY-
SEVEN, TO PROVIDE FOR SUPPLEMENTING CERTAIN EXIST-
ING APPROPRIATIONS AND FOR CERTAIN NEW ACTIVITIES
AND PROJECTS.

Be it enacted, etc., as follows:

SECTION 1. To provide for supplementing certain appropriations previously made and for certain new activities and projects, the sums set forth in this act are hereby made available from the funds desig

nated, to be in addition to any amounts otherwise available for the purpose, subject to the provisions of law regulating the disbursement of public funds and the approval thereof and the conditions pertaining to the appropriations in chapter four hundred and eleven of the acts of nineteen hundred and sixty-six.
