NOTE.-Since the object of this form is to obtain full particulars respecting the qualities of the ship, under all circum-
stances of wind and sea, when under sail alone, under steam alone, and under steam and sail combined, the Captain is to
transmit with it a detailed account of any particular circumstances he may deem of importance, and also to suggest any
alteration which, in his opinion, would improve the qualities of the ship.
