The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Baumes, from the committee on codes, reported said bill amended as directed, and the same was ordered reprinted and placed on the order of third reading.

The Senate bill (No. 531, Int. No. 508) entitled "An act to amend the Tax Law, in relation to fees to collector of returned taxes in Lewis county," having been announced for third reading, Mr. Keck moved that said bill be recommitted to the committee on taxation and retrenchment.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

The Senate resolved itself into a committee of the whole, and proceeded to the consideration of general orders, being the bills entitled as follows:
