Second street to Middle Village and Lutheran Cemetery, and paid therefor $30,000 of its capital stock at par; but this company have not heretofore made a particular report of said leased road, because no tracks were ever laid by them under such lease, and this company have full charter rights to every thing used by it on the streets and avenues named, independent of any thing which might have inured under said lease. This company has no information of the operations of said Brooklyn, Winfield and Newtown Railroad Company, or whether it has ever done any thing except to make said lease and receive said $30,000 of capital stock. This company also acquired, by deed, in 1873, from the Grand Street and Newtown Railroad Company, all that part of the Metropolitan Railroad lying in King and Queens counties, beginning at the terminus of said railroad as it was May 22, 1867, at the stables, Metropolitan avenue near Bushwick avenue; thence east to line of city of Brooklyn; thence east, on line of Brooklyn and Jamaica turnpike, to Middle Village, for the sum of $15,000, already reported in previous report. The right of way acquired in this deed is upon streets and avenues named in the articles of association of this company, filed October 10, 1870.
