The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and the extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person :

1874.

December 30. J. C. Ettner, Salamanca, brakeman, injured; head bruised, not dangerous; he was between cars fastening check chains, conductor not knowing he was there gave signal to back up and as the train slackened back it caught his head.

1875.

March 25. Frank Kenney, passenger, killed one mile east of D. A. V. and P. crossing; was riding in accommodation coach apparently slightly intoxicated; he got up walked out the door and stepped down between the cars, brakeman attempted to catch him but could

not.

May 21. James Maddigan, Randolph, neither passenger or employe, killed; ran on track in front of engine; supposed he was attempting to cross the track; coroner's verdict exonerates the A. and G. W. R. R. and its employes from all blame.

June 18. Michael Brady, Dexterville, laborer on B. and J. R. R., injured about head and shoulders, not seriously; was on bridge; want of caution.

June 30. Stephen Markman, brakeman, injured; left hand smashed, broke forefinger; coupling cars at Randolph; want of caution.

July 12. Peter Briggs, Salamanca yard, switchman, injured; lost fingers and thumb on left hand; coupling cars; want of caution.

July 16. Y. S. Nutting, brakeman, injured; smashed big toe and one next to it while getting on train at Watt's Flats when in motion; want of caution.

August 21. Emmet Newton, brakeman, injured; thumb on right hand broken and flesh stripped off; coupling cars at gravel pit west of Red House; want of caution.

August 27. Geo. L. Ames, brakeman, injured; collar and shoulder bone broken; was sitting on brake which broke and threw him to the ground, near Kennedys.

September 15. Henry Mosher, switchman, Salamanca yard, fatally injured; was coupling cars; no blame attached to any one; no inquest held.

September 10. J. W. Bryant, brakeman, injured while coupling cars at Jamestown; third and fourth fingers and part of hand taken off, also hurt through the chest.

The undersigned have caused the foregoing statements to be prepared by the proper officers and agents of this company, from the books and records, and have examined them as far as practicable, and believe them to be correct.

DAVID HAYS, Treasurer of the Atlantic and Ontario Railroad Company, being duly sworn, deposes and says, that no change has been made, and nothing further done in the matter of construction of the railroad since the last report made by him to the State Engineer, and that the present condition of the affairs of said company is the same as set forth in the report heretofore made to the State Engineer by this deponent as Treasurer of said railroad company.

CHARLES B. BENEDICT, President of the Attica and Arcade Railroad Company, being sworn, deposes and says, that the statements in the annexed report, which has been signed by him, at the end thereof, are true and correct, according to the best of his knowledge, information and belief.
