On motion of Mr. Andrews and by unanimous consent, said bill was amended as follows: .

Section 9, 1st line, strike out the word "not exceeding."

Same section, line 4, after the word "New York" insert "in such manner as the Legislature may hereafter direct."

Section 11, line 3, after the word "construction" insert "beyond the said experimental section of one-half mile."

Same section, strike out the words "and for the removal of said railway in the event that the aforesaid commissioners shall so direct." Said bill, as amended, was read a third time.
