Mr. O'Donnell, from the committee on internal affairs of towns and counties, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to fix a division line through Jamaica bay to Rockaway beach," reported in favor of the passage of the same.

Mr. O'Donnell, from the committee on internal affairs of towns and counties, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to regulate the taking of fish in the Bay of Henderson, in Jefferson county, and Oneida Lake, in Madison county," reported in favor of the passage of the same, with amendments.

Mr. Humphrey, from the committee on roads and bridges, to which was referred the bill entitled "An act for the improvement of the Manor road in Richmond county," reported adversely thereto, which report was agreed to and said bill rejected.

Mr. Humphrey, from the committee on roads and bridges, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to authorize the purchase of right of way, laying out and constructing a public road in the town of Little Falls, county of Herkimer," reported in favor of the passage of the same.

On motion of Mr. Andrews and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill recommitted to the committee with power to report complete.

Mr. Humphrey, from the committee on roads and bridges, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to incorporate the Nineveh Bridge Company," with power to report complete, reported the same complete, which report was agreed to and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Mr. Humphrey, from the committee on roads and bridges, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Westchester to purchase the Westchester turnpike road,' passed March 30, 1866," with power to report complete, reported the same complete, which report was agreed to and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Mr. Humphrey, from the committee on roads and bridges, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to enable the several highway districts in the town of Greenburgh, in Westchester county, west of and through which the highway known as the late 'Highland Turnpike' runs, to macadamize and otherwise improve public highways within their respective districts," with power to report complete, reported the same complete, which report was agreed to and said bill ordered to a third reading.

Mr. T. Murphy, from the committee on commerce and navigation, to which was referred the Assembly bill entitled "An act to incorporate

the Warehouse Loan Company," reported in favor of the passage of the same, and said bill was committed to the committee of the whole.. Mr. O'Donnell, from the committee on internal affairs of towns and counties, to which was referred the bill entitled "An act to provide means for the construction of a court house, clerk's office and jail at Little Valley, in the county of Cattaraugus, and to legalize certain bonds and obligations heretofore issued and executed to aid in the construction thereof," reported in favor of the passage of the same.

On motion of Mr. Sessions and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill recommitted to the committee with power to report complete.

Mr. T. Murphy, from the committee on commerce and navigation, to which was recommitted the bill entitled "An act for the better protection of emigrants arriving at the port of New York," reported in favor of the passage of the same, and said bill was committed to the committee of the whole.

By unanimous consent, Mr. H. C. Murphy asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to provide for the paving of Cumberland street, in the city of Brooklyn, with the Nicholson pavement, commencing at Fulton avenue and terminating at Myrtle avenue," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on municipal affairs.

By unanimous consent, Mr. E. Cornell asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to confirm the title of the town of Danby, in Tompkins county, to and in the property known as the Baptist Church property, in said town," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

On motion of Mr. E. Cornell and by unanimous consent, the rule was suspended, and said bill referred to the committee on the judiciary, with power to report complete.

The Assembly sent for concurrence the bills entitled as follows:

"An act to amend and reduce to one act the several acts relating to buildings, and keeping and storing of combustible materials, in the city of New York,' passed May 4, 1866," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on municipal affairs.

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to facilitate the construction of the New York and Oswego Midland railroad, and to exempt from taxation town and city bonds used in the construction thereof," with a message that they have passed the same, with the following amendments:

Section 1, line 8, engrossed bill, strike out the word "State." Same section, line 10, strike out the words "or in any adjoining county." Same section, add at the end thereof the words "to be expended on said road in said county."

Add as section 10 the following:

"§ 10. This act shall take effect immediately."

Amend the title by inserting after the word "from" the word “certain."

Mr. Low moved that the Senate concur in said amendments.
