"An act in relation to the draining of certain low lands in the town of Royalton, in the county of Niagara," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.,

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to charter the village of Randolph, Cattaraugus county," with a message that they had passed the same with the following amendments:

Strike out after the words "thence" in the fourth line of section one, to the word "thence " in the ninth line, and insert the following: "south along west line of said institute to the centre of the highway leading from West to East Randolph, thence east along the centre of said highway to the east bounds of said institute lands, thence south 25 degrees east about 12 chains to the south-east corner of said incorporation, as laid down upon the map of the said incorporation."

Section 27, line 37, strike out "twelve" aud insert "ten." Line 44, same section, strike out "twelve " and insert "ten." Mr. Sessions moved that the Senate concur in said amendments. The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion to concur, and it was decided in the affirmative, a majority of all the members elected to the Senate voting in favor thereof, and threefifths of said members being present, as follows:

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to incorporate the National Trust Company of the city of New York," with a message that they had passed the same, with the following amendments:

Add at the end of section one, the following:

"The place of business of said corporation shall be located above Chambers street, in said city."

Strike out all after the word "corporation" in line 2, section 16, down to the end of said section.

Mr. Gibson moved to concur in the following amendment:

"The place of business of said corporation shall be located above Chambers street, in said city."

The Assembly returned the bill entitled "An act to authorize the rebuilding and maintenance of a bridge over the Chemung canal, in the town of Elmira, and to abandon bridge No. 8," with a message that they had passed the same, with the following amendments:

After the word "eight" in the sixth line, section one, insert the words "whenever said Maxwell bridge shall need rebuilding."

After the word "abandoned," in the second line, section two, insert the words "whenever it shall need rebuilding."

§3. An amount equal to the expense of reconstructing said Maxwell bridge at its present location shall be charged to the contractor for repairs of the section of the Chemung canal mentioned in the first section of this act, and shall be deducted from any moneys due, or that may become due to him as such contractor.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Crowley asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to incorporate the city of Lockport,' passed April 11, 1865, relative to opening of streets and the arrest of vagrants," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Pierson asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to create a commercial district for the port of New York, and a board of docks therein," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time.

Mr. Pierson moved to refer said bill to the select committee on the subject of wharves and piers.
