After the word "eight" in the sixth line, section one, insert the words "whenever said Maxwell bridge shall need rebuilding."

After the word "abandoned," in the second line, section two, insert the words "whenever it shall need rebuilding."

§3. An amount equal to the expense of reconstructing said Maxwell bridge at its present location shall be charged to the contractor for repairs of the section of the Chemung canal mentioned in the first section of this act, and shall be deducted from any moneys due, or that may become due to him as such contractor.
