These Illustrations of the Law of Kindness are sent into community, without any apology for the manner in which they are written or for their want of originality. If there are errors in them, the Author deplores them-if they fail of their object, he will regret it. But for good or for evil, they go forth as they are.— And if they succeed in causing even one individual to throw aside revenge, and to exercise the Law of Kindness, the reward for writing them will be ample.
